when clicking through from my website when someone wants to pay by paypal it appears to go to the paypal.com site many of my customers are only registered with paypal.co.uk (including myself)

when the autofill enters the details into paypal.com the customer is not recognised and therfor cant complete transaction.

Hi a1lux,
PayPal automatically recognizes user account when they log in and redirects to the correct PayPal site (.co.uk, .com etc.) Redirection by default is to paypal.com and is done by PayPal, the only reason a customer is not recognized is if they use a wrong password, however PayPal will allow the customer to re-enter the password, pay with a credit/debit card and open new PayPal account - all from the same transaction.

You should not worry about PayPal's TDL extension as they are handling multi-national websites and can always recognize user account.

You can also notice that if you type paypal.co.uk in the address bar it will actually redirect you to https://www.paypal.com/uk/ which is their .com extension.

Hope this helps.
Kind regards.

Hi a1lux,
You have set up your PayPal payments in Configuration > Sandbox: Yes, which means that users will be redirected to PayPal's Sandbox (test) website and only test transactions can be processed.
This is why neither you nor your customers can log in - you have to use special Sandbox (test) accounts to log in.

Please set Sandbox: No to start receiving Live payments.

Hope this helps.
Kind regards.
