#269 – Stripe.com Payment

 Stripe supports Auth and Capture, how can that be implemented here? Authenticate the card for an amount and then after the ride process the payment for possibly a different amount if needed.
Also how are cancellations handled if using stripe?

Hi there,
at the moment all payments are advanced (at the time of placing the order) and final through any of the payment gateways, additional payments have to be handled externally.
Because you as service provider receive the whole payment it is your responsibility to issue any refunds due to cancellations etc.

So are payments processed as soon the customer enters their Credit Card info? Before we even get to Accept the trip? So what if I hit Reject in that confirmation email how will the customer be refunded that amount?

Hi again,
payments are processed when the Customer submits their order. The Order is changed to Accepted when the payment gateway sends a call back to out platform that the payment was successful (you can set this up in Payment methods if you would like to Accept manually).
If you Reject an order then you can refund the payment via the payment processor Dashboard - all payment gateways have that option, including Stripe and PayPal. And it is a one click process.
