#549 – Email notification

 I keep getting sent 2 emails for each job...
The first email has status :waiting. And the option of accept our reject.
The 2nd email comes through the second I push accept on the first email and asks me again to accept or reject the job. And then when i push accept again it come up with the error message .
We have just 1 car and driver.

Screenshots attached of the emails and error message. Sometimes there seems to be a 10 minute or so delay from the time a booking is made to the time a booking email is received. How do I fix this also?

Sorry for a little delay, it was our weekend :)

We have fixed the error, please let us know if you find any problem. About the email delay, that might be due to the bad internet connection between your computer and mail server. Also, sometimes mail server gets too busy and the email gets queued in the mailq and server triggers the mailq after a while. You can use your own SMTP settings (Backend Settings -> Order Email settings) if you want to get better experience.

I still seem to be getting 2 emails. Are both of the ones in screen shots to the driver or is one to the company? I'm the only employee so have the same email address listed for the company and the driver. Does the company have to accept the job before it gets ordered to the driver? Although, that wouldn't make sense because when the 2nd email arrives and I push accept it returns an error message because the job has been accepted already.

When a new order is submitted, company admin and all additional admins will get accept/reject email. If any one of those admins accept the new order, then first driver (driver assigned to the car associated to the new order) will get accept/decline email. If he accepts, then order status will be changed to ACCEPTED and customer, driver and admin will get accepted status notification email. If first driver declines, then 2nd driver (automatically detected) will get accept/decline email. In your case, you are both company admin and first driver (assigned driver to the order car Nissan Bluebird), this is why you were getting 2 emails. And, there is no chance that error occurs again. Please check the email flow and let us know if you find any problem.

Does that mean I won't get 2 emails anymore or that of i change my settings i won't get 2 emails anymore ?

Can I disable the need for admin to accept? We don't have an admin person, just a driver. It does get confusing to see which jobs are which.
I don't want to have 2 email apps running at the same time on my phone. Would rather the jobs just get offered straight to the driver.

Hi,
the system is designed in 2 notification tiers because most companies have Admin/Dispatchers and a few drivers.
Admin is supposed to accept the job after they verify the payment arrangements and when the job is offered to Drivers the first driver (owner of the car or first driver in Car type list) can Accept or Reject that job (if he doesn't accept in certain time, set at the back office, then the job is sent to the next driver in the queue).

In your case, if you only have one driver, then you can go to back office > Dashboard > Drivers > Settings > Automatic driver notification: No - this will stop sending emails to drivers.
Everything else will work the same way - if you assign the driver to a car he/she will get Order details as soon as the order is booked.
If Admin Rejects the job then Driver will receive a notification that the job has been Rejected (even if you are the only driver this serves as confirmation that Cancellation has occurred).

That's great thank you. I disabled the driver notification.
We are sick a small company but need your booking form to calculate fares for us.
This ticket is closed, therefore read-only. You can no longer reply to it. If you need to provide more information, please open a new ticket and mention this ticket's number.
