#529 – re ticket #493

 i am getting the same feedback from this user "too many emails" would it be possible to have an option save without email notification or a tick box similar to your text notification box.


can i also suggest an auto fill with options when entering a customers name instead of having to look up and choose the customer

this way if you type in john smith, it will give you an option to choose a john smith you have already entered, or allow you to go on and refill the relevant boxes.

Hi a1lux,
for each Payment method you can set up "Send Email for Pending Status: Yes/No" and "Send Email for Approved Status: Yes/No" which will control notification emails sent to the user.
All other emails are necessary for the smooth operation of the system and unless you provide any use cases in which emails would not be necessary we can not alter the system.

We have customer suggestion while typing in our development list for some time now but as we are constantly working on improvements and new features we can't commit to a release date of this improvement. Clicking on the User icon and typing in user name or email address (or parts of these) will bring up a list with possible users that you can chose from and their user information will be automatically populated in the Order form at the moment and this is quite convenient as well.

as the other user explained some times we have to go in and change a very slight detail of a hire (spelling mistake etc ) every time we save the customer gets another email. i have all other emails switched off that are not requires. i am only advising you of what my customers are advising me.

the auto populate is a good function but dont see why this cant be initiated simply by typing the customers name on the main screen, as i dont know if a customer has used me before i go to the icon ask their name when no one comes up ive to cancel that down and start again. surely this idea would simlify the entering details process

Hi a1lux,
the system is not supposed to send emails for minor adjustments of the order - only important changes in Date/Time, Pick up/Drop off, change of Driver, change of Order status will send an email.
If you have an example order where unnecessary emails have been sent please give us the order number so we can closely check.

Regarding User data auto populate - I understand what you are saying but switching from one search method the other is not as simple as it may look.
Besides, " i go to the icon ask their name when no one comes up ive to cancel that down and start again" - you don't have to Cancel anything, if a user doesn't exist there is a "New" button in the top right side of the user selection pop up which allows you to create a new user quickly. This user information will be stored and available for you next time this customer books with you.
