#427 – tarrifs

 now i have set up tariffs for my mondeo (happy with this) im trying to set up tariffs for my minibuses.

problem is our council charge a flat rate of £1.25 per passenger over 4 and not a per mile charge per passenger.

can this be altered????

i have also encountered another problem when entering a return hire the system is not looking up the return side of the hire at the appropriate tariff.

eg someone booking a taxi to go cumnock to ayr on 31/12/16 at 8pm and returning at 2am on 1/1/17 your system is not counting double time for the return side of the hire.

Hi a1lux,
at the moment charging flat fee of £1.25 per passenger over 4 passengers is not possible as it is quite specific and would not apply to many setups.
We can do that as custom development for you but we will have to charge a separate development fee.

Return trips are quite tricky. At the moment Return trips are considered as the same trip by the system with some waiting time between both trips and Tariff will be applied based on Pick up time.
This is why Return trip is just doubled outbound trip.
In the future we are looking to make Return trip a separate Order on the same booking with it's own Order variables and the customer will be able to select even a different car if the outbound one is not available.
But until this is done you may wish to disable Return trips so the customer can book 2 separate trips with the correct Tariffs applied.

i can deal with this in the back office but if someone goes through on the front end it means they are booking a journey at the wrong price. this is going to cause me a problem as "customers" can be very pissed off if they get one price and get told they will be charged more.

up until now i have had ultimate belief in your system but im seriously toying with taking the online booking system off line until this is repaired, or until after new year.

i have just altered the text on my website to cover this however its not perfect the quicker the return trip alteration is developed the better.

Hi a1lux,
we don't want you to show wrong prices to your customers and this is why you can turn off Return trip selection. If your customers book 2 trips this will actually be beneficial to your trip planning as well.

The system is far from perfect but it is the best on the market for it's price range and exceeds even far more expensive solutions.

We can not promise that Return trips will be fixed before New Year as we are currently working on other improvements and planning to work on a Driver app which will take priority.
