When moving between "ride info", "select vehicle" and "payment info" the page you move to will start at the same vertical position as the page you moved from. It should always start at the top of each page.

Thank you

Hi Fredrik,
this loading is the most optimal and it is taken into account that The Booking Form can be published in different positions on the web page and the web page can be loaded in different size screens both portrait and landscape.

You can send us some more description about the device you are using, the screen position and the web page that you are viewing in but we can not promise that the situation can be made better.

Hope this helps.
Thank you for your feedback.

Hi Fredrik,

Addition to my colleague's reply, we have improved the core a little bit, so you should get improved result now. I guess you were checking iFramed Booking Form in your website here. If yes, let me explain one thing in few words, controlling outer (iFrame parent) window position is not possible from iFramed (child) window, actually all browser restricts it. We can control iframed window position only. If you check deeply, you will notice that iframed window is always loading from the top. But, if you scroll the parent window down a lot, you will not be able to see that by default and you will have to scroll top to see that actually.

Please share your experience (with screenshots if possible) with us.

Hope this helps

Hello,
Im using Chrome on iMac and the following screen shots is from iPhone 7 plus though its the same story with Chrome. The examples is then you go from ride info to select vehicle. The last screen shot is how it should be but its now working like that now. The thing with the outer iframe parent... is that something my website developer could manipulate? Or is it no way this is ever going to work properly with iframes?
Thank you
/Fredrik

I think I have already explained in my previous post, If you check deeply, you will notice that iframed window is always loading from the top. But, if you scroll the parent window down a lot, you will not be able to see that by default and you will have to scroll top to see that actually. I think this is not possible with current browsers. We will check and fix anything found new.

Hope this helps

When you go from one section to the next in the booking form you always need to scroll down because thats where you find the button to move to the next section...
Its only where the screen is big enough to make room for the hole booking form this is not an issue.

Can my website developer do anything on my side to improve things?

Thank you
/Fredrik

OK, I looked through my booking form on your preview website. That is the way I want it to work on my website also.
How can I make that happen? I do not need anything but the actual booking form on my website page for the booking.

Thank you
/Fredrik

Hi Fredrik,
to make your booking page looking better on all devices you can make your Book Ride page a direct link to https://goo.gl/8faf2i or you can remove the top part of your webpage making the whole web page shorter (I think you have already done that).
You can still leave a header with your logo if you like but since the "Exit" link in the booking form menu will lead to your Home page you don't need any menu items or additional links on that page.
In fact many companies including Amazon use this technique to prevent customers from clicking away from the purchase process.

Hope this helps.
Kind regards.

Hello,

Yes I do not want anything but the booking form, no menu, no nothing. I totally agree with that.

Using the direct link, is it possible to show my company domain instead of drivenot or is it any other way to maintain my domain name in the browser offering the same user experience concerning always starting on top of each section in the booking form?

I attached 4 screen shots. One from a desktop showing that with a certain width some field get crunched.

The other three screen shots is from iPhone7 plus and shows that when changing between AM and PM, hours, minutes, passengers and suitcases the screen will zoom and you need to manually zoo out to get the screen back to where it should be at all time.

Thank you
/Fredrik

Hi Fredrik,
if you are using the direct link then booking.drivenot.com URL will be shown, you will have to use an iFrame to show your own URL. You can ask your web designer to create an empty from any HTML page on your website where he can only paste the Code and this will have the same visual result as the direct link.

Although I appreciate the fact that you scrutinise the design so much in your screenshots you show some impossible to control use cases.
When you click to change Time in iPhone browser you can notice that Apple trigger their own rotating selector instead of standard drop down and although we are doing our best to optimize for all devices The Booking Form is aimed mostly at Web browsers as mobile browsers are so many and usually don't fully support Web kits.
Also it is very doubtful that an end user will start playing with the Browser width to see if any of the texts inside "get crunched" - we are following the media standards for Screen widths which are set for Desktop views, Landscape and Portrait views on tablets and mobiles.

We will look into your requests but can not promise that they will be satisfied at this time.

Hope this helps.
Kind regards.

Hi,

First of all I want to thank you for your fast replies! Good communication is key to success...

OK, I will try the clean page and se how it works.

You may like or not like iPhones. I have an iPhone and I have my reasons for that. Its definitely several things I do not like about iPhones, but in the end of the day, it does not matter what you or I think. It just matters what phones OUR users have...

Among high end clients using limo services typically most of them use iPhones(my experience), so its not just any phone.

These times most internet usage is through smart phones and if I were you, it would be on the very top of my list fixing the basic issues with iPhones so they can be used for booking with you system, which I by the way think is very nice indeed.

,but if this is not doable, its not doable.

Concerning the chrunched fields... It might rarely be of importance as you mentioned so lets just focus on the iPhones.

And just to make clear, Im not writing to pick down on unimportant nonsense, I just want a smooth working systems for my clients, the same as we all want...

Thank you
/Fredrik

Hi again,

Concerning the crunched fields... I was obviously wrong saying "It might rarely be of importance".

The attached screen shoot is from iPad 4 mini...

So I assume you want to fix this.

Of cause, to fix the issues using the iPhones with the booking form is still of higher importance.

Thanks
/Fredrik
