 Hello
When a discount percentage is applied to a User's details, does this automatically get taken off the fare calculation?
If not, how is it applied?
Thank you
Nicholas

Hi Nicholas,
if you are referring to back office > Dashboard > Users > Edit user > User is a Client: Yes / Discount (%) then the Discount will be applied automatically when the user is logged in.

If you are referring to back office > Coupons then you have to send the coupon code to your customer and they have to enter it manually before checkout. Here you can read more about Coupon codes: https://booking.drivenot.com/en/documentation/76-coupon-codes
Please note that Coupons have to be made of only Capital letters with no spaces or special characters like (/@#$%!^&*).

Hope this helps.
Kind regards.

hello
This has nothing to do with the User Logging in.
My process is:
> Open notbook as administrator (backend)
> Start New Order
> Enter the enquirers and ride details
> Select vehicles
etc.
This gives me a price that I can quote to the User/Enquirer for acceptance or otherwise.
If I look in where the price calculation is set out, I cannot see any discount applied to the calculated price, so I am assuming that irrespective of whether the User has a discount applied to them in their settings, it does not automatically get applied to the calculated cost in the back end?
If this is right, then I need to apply the discount manually and put a price override in.
Am I correct or is there a way to have a regular user have their defined discount applied automatically to all their bookings?
Thanks
Nicholas

Hi Nicholas,
if the user is a Client and only if you have set them up as a Client manually in your back office User manager then the price will be discounted as the discount is set up in User manager - if this is not working please confirm so we can take a closer look.
If you are thinking about Coupon codes, I don't think they are available in back office New order but you have a price override where you can discount the price.
If you need Coupon codes to work at the back office New order we will have to think about it - please confirm.

Kind regards.

Hello
I am not sure what you mean as User Manager?
I take and process all bookings through the back end under Admin log in.
I have as yet had no one make a booking through the Front end booking form and do not anticipate that this will happen any time soon.
I have put the percentage in the relevant User profile and ticked them as Client, but see no where where the discount has been applied.
Perhaps it only works when a user is booking through the Front end?

Hi Nicholas,

That Discount percentage in User profile is related to Client feature and client discount will be applied with Corporate account payment method only. I have checked your orders and none of your orders used this payment method. This is why, Discount was not being applied although user was a client. You can check the details of this payment method here https://booking.drivenot.com/en/documentation/34-corporare-invoices. Please don't hesitate to ask us if you still have any confusion or find any problem.

Thanks & Regards

Thanks Ronniee
Thank you.
I use the booking confirmation as invoice, so currently no requirement to set up corporate accounts with separate invoicing.
I was hoping that if I applied a discount percentage to our more regular clients, this would deduct on each booking.
Now I know, I can do this manually using Override feature.

Regards
Nicholas
