Hi a1lux,
we don't like this situation any more than you do.
We have been working on this issue for the last few days and have made multiple improvements to the service that is actually provided by Google Maps API.
Unfortunately, Google is changing their policy and is making Google Maps API a paid service as opposed to the free use of the API that they have been providing so far.
Effective June 11, 2018, the use of Google Maps API will be paid for everyone.

We have tried to contact them with questions about the specific operations of our platform and explanation how individual clients like yourself will be able to continue using the Google Maps API but have not received any reply from them yet (although they promise 1 business day reply they haven't replied to us for over 10 days) so we share your frustration in the lack of information.

What will happen after June 11th?
If we don't hear from Google's support we will have to enable billing for our own account and use our own API keys (which we are currently doing) because Google does not allow the use of multiple API keys from the same domain.
We will no longer be able to provide the discounted pricing for use of our services and will have to charge the full price of £39.99 per month.

What is happing now?
We are still working to improve the service and we have eliminated all unnecessary calls to the API so the shared user quota of requests is not exhausted. However, these improvements are not sufficient as you have reported and we will have no other choice but pay the extra usage to Google so there are no interruptions of the service for our clients including you.

You can read about Google's changing policy about Google Maps API here: https://cloud.google.com/maps-platform/user-guide/

We are doing our best to rectify this situation and we thank you for your continuous support.

Let us know if you have any questions or comments.
Kind regards.

I for 1 am willing to pay £39.99 a month for your diary as long as I am guaranteed it works. At the moment your system is useless because it doesn’t work! I know I have moaned about the inconvenience of you concentrating on Android, but take it from me there are no systems out there that provide the service you have provided at the price you have charged. And take it from me I have spent many hours searching and trialing other systems as you know.

Please please restore the wonderful service you had last month to my account.

Hi a1lux,
Thank you for the good words and continuous support.
I just heard from our accounting department that we have set up the billing with Google so we will start paying for the extra API calls at least until June 11th.
Please check your booking for and let us know if your service is fully restored.

Kind regards.
